What a year was 2016. After the earthquake in April, we traveled to Spain and Italy for a month, then spent the summer in Washington preparing our boat for sale. It required living off the boat for some time. After returning to Ecuador I found the gallery business in severe shock as the economy tried to recover from low oil and tuna prices and the earthquake. I had to close the gallery and pack up everything. I'm exploring other avenues to market my work and classes. We also moved from place to place while waiting for the repairs to the condo.

We're living on our new boat, North Star, while in the States, and returning to our remodeled condo in Manta as much as possible.

I had the opportunity to paint a mural for Patty, Steve, and Ginny on a long exterior wall outside their home. It measures 9 feet tall and more than 40 feet long. It was an adventure!
